Assets List

Rightio, this is just a list of assets we're going to need, so that no one over laps or anything gets missed, I will probably add a bit more to it but for now this is what we really need. All of these have to be good enough for the final animation, if you want to make some concepts to rough out your ideas first that's fine, and share them so we can compile all the images at the end, but do be aware that time is catching up on us!

List

3D Models:
  • Character Models Dale
  • One archer
  • One heavy
  • One cavalry
  • One foot soldier/infantry
  • Monster Models
  • One Raptor style monster Chris
  • One heavy type (like the trebuchet)
  • One flying (like the pteradactly)
  • One small knee-high monster (optional, used like squigs in Warhammer)
  • Environment Models
  • Basic terrain model Craig
  • Floating islands (4/5 different types?) Craig
  • Garrisson
  • Basic large town structure (1 Rebel, 1 Empire) Craig
  • Small house model (optional)
  •  Additional: Weapon models. Chris Birt
2D Assets:

  • Backgrounds:
  • Pub scene Emma
  • Shop scene (optional)
  • Empire and Rebel Scrolling backgrounds Emma
  • Generic battlefield background (for mock screen shots)
  • Various sky backgrounds (three? Normal, Sunset, Storm) Emma
  • Environment textures. 4 of these, 1 normal(plains), 1 snowy, 1 desert (with craters turned blue/glowing like in the first trailer animatic), 1 mountain/alpine (rough, but with pine trees). Chris Baldock
  • Characters. Main character as a Rebel and Empire soldier, 3 generic soldiers for both sides, some very VERY simple drawings for towns people to litter around scrolling scenes(optional) Emma/Chris Baldock
  • Small dinosaurs, pet like, 4 of these. Chris Baldock
  • GUI (will have images to show you what I mean in a bit) for the battle scene and inventory. Emma


That's it for now, we won't go indepth on textures until next week when the models are good to go, also we'll save the animation til everything is ready.

    Couple questions, you say you want the pet dinosaurs ready for the animation, does that mean you want me to do it in a 2D side on, or however view i want? And also for the maps, can you give me an idea of how you want it setup? Just a picture or two of ean example would be really helpful :)

    Example of the map will be a few pages back with all the reviewed stuff so we could get the green light, it's with the image of the soldier menu screen, and dinosaurs can be whatever view you want them. Hope that helps, let me know if you need anything else :)
